CAMERATA NORDICA

Monday, 17 March 2008

Subscription Concert No. 4

One of Sweden’s leading chamber orchestras, Camerata Nordica performs as an orchestra without a conductor: a camerata. Its artistic unity is created collectively on the basis of mutual sensitivity and deeply felt musical intentions. Selected from among the best Nordic players, the musicians always perform standing. Their intense mode of expression appeals to all kinds of audiences—from those in classical concert halls to exuberant young people at Hultsfred, Sweden’s main rock festival.

Camerata Nordica has performed with such distinguished artists as James Galway, Barbara Bonney, Barry Tuckwell, and Barbara Hendricks.

Celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2004, Camerata Nordica has an extensive discography, having recorded 14 highly acclaimed releases.
